Valentin Radu is one of the principal architects of the Customer Value Optimization methodology, the founder of Omniconvert, and the founder of The CVO Academy.

Valentin’s primary objective remains consistent when establishing The CVO Academy alongside renowned educators and industry experts: to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills required to foster sustainable growth through a deep understanding and genuine concern for their customers.

As a poor kid in Bucharest, Romania, Valentin learned the profound significance of exceeding expectations and consistently delivering exceptional results to prosper in life.

Driven by an unwavering commitment to creating value, he continues to live by the fundamental principle that giving value to others is the first step to receiving it in return.

This mindset has been the driving force behind his professional endeavors since the late 1990s, during which he successfully established four companies and gained recognition in the global eCommerce and entrepreneurial communities. Valentin has worn multiple hats throughout his career, including that of an entrepreneur, data-driven marketer, CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) expert, and international speaker.

Lifelong Learner:

Before anything else, Valentin identifies as an unrelenting experimenter and a lifelong learner.

His wealth of knowledge is derived from practical experience. As a former eCommerce entrepreneur, he co-founded Romania’s largest online car insurance provider, serving over 250,000 customers. He collaborated closely with eCommerce leaders to gain insights into customer behavior and discover strategies for enhancing Customer Lifetime Value.

Presently, Valentin serves as the founder and CEO of Omniconvert, a SaaS (Software as a Service) company offering growth solutions to numerous retail giants, including Decathlon, Auchan, Tempur, Culture Kings, and Orange. His mission is to assist these companies in adopting a more customer-centric approach to business.

Outside of work, Valentin is a citizen of Bucharest and loves to travel the world. He’s a proud dad to two kids, a loving husband, and he’s a dedicated guardian to his pets.

Valentin Radu – CVO Creator and Advocate

Valentin faced the daily struggle of scrounging up enough money just to buy a simple pretzel in high school.

His journey to find his place in the world was marked by a relentless spirit of experimentation. Before venturing into the realm of entrepreneurship, he had 17 different jobs, each one more diverse than the last.

He even took on the role of a butcher, albeit for just a mere two-hour stint. Street-side cookbook sales and a brief foray into life insurance sales followed.

His diverse experiences also included moonlighting as a DJ at two radio stations, exploring the realm of optometry, trying his hand at sales training, and dipping into web design.

Through this process of trial and error, he unearthed a true passion for creating efficient systems, uncovering opportunities for improvement, and leaving a trail of inspiration in their wake.

His entrepreneurial journey began with establishing one of the earliest internet service providers in his hometown, Bucharest. The driving force behind this venture? A need for faster internet to play the game Starcraft.

He soon found themselves investing all his savings and taking out a loan to build a web design company in the B2B sector.

Valentin’s third venture catapulted them into the limelight as Romania’s largest online car insurance provider, a feat achieved with a mere $700 initial investment.

Several years later, he embarked on a new frontier – eCommerce. A substantial investment in advertising yielded priceless insights into the world of conversion rate optimization and customer lifetime value.

His newfound wisdom paved the way for them to pioneer a brand Customer Value Optimization (CVO) category.

Valentin’s mission is clear.

Many companies claim to care deeply about their customers, but the harsh reality often shows a different truth. As acquisition costs surge and business models seem to falter, he revealed the untapped potential within a company’s first-party data.

To address this challenge, he devised a comprehensive set of strategic initiatives:

  • The CVO Academy: An online platform where eCommerce experts share their insights on enhancing CLV in the eCommerce realm.
  • Omniconvert, the tech solution: This innovative product empowered retailers to better acquire, segment, monitor, and nurture their customers across all channels.

  • Training for other agencies: Valentin believes that agencies need to grasp the bigger picture, and thus, he lends his expertise to help others master the CVO methodology.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Valentin dedicated himself to education, podcasting, and advising brands. A genuine calling fueled his desire to assist others and share the shortcuts he discovered along his journey.
